چکیده

Biomedical Imaging Research Institute, Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, Los Angeles, California, USA Full list of author information is available at the end of the article Figure 1 Typical T2 prepared (b = 0 s/mm) images, DWI (b = 450 s/mm) in three orthogonal directions, and ADC maps for M1M2 (top) and TRSE (bottom) diffusion preparation. M1M2 diffusion-prepared images clearly depict myocardium with minimal artifacts and yield reasonable myocardial trADC values. TRSE diffusion-prepared images present ghosting artifacts and signal drop out that are expected to arise in bulk motion corrupted diffusion-prepared sequences. LV trADC value derived from TRSE diffusion preparation are beyond diffusion of free water at 37°C (3.1 × 10 mm/s). Nguyen et al. In vivo cardiac diffusion MRI: second order motion compensated diffusion-prepared balanced steady state free precession (SOMOCO Diff Prep bSSFP)

Background Cardiac diffusion MRI (CDMRI) has the potential to identify acute myocardial ischemia and assess the chronic change of myofiber orientation after a myocardial infarction [1,2]. Cardiac motion and SNR limitations have been the primary challenges for the application of the technique in vivo. A few previous in vivo studies have demonstrated the feasibility of CDMRI in humans using diffu...

Real-time correction of rigid body motion-induced phase errors for diffusion-weighted steady-state free precession imaging.

PURPOSE Diffusion contrast in diffusion-weighted steady-state free precession magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is generated through the constructive addition of signal from many coherence pathways. Motion-induced phase causes destructive interference which results in loss of signal magnitude and diffusion contrast. In this work, a three-dimensional (3D) navigator-based real-time correction of t...

Steady-State Free Precession (SSFP) Diffusion Imaging Using 3D Rotating Spirals (3DRS)

INTRODUCTION 3D diffusion imaging has been an appealing but challenging topic over the last decade. It provides good properties such as isotropic resolution, higher SNR efficiency, and less inflow effect. However, it also suffers from long scan time and consequently more severe motion artifacts. Compared with traditional spinecho diffusion weighted imaging (DWI) method, steady-state free preces...

Diffusion-prepared fast imaging with steady-state free precession (DP-FISP): a rapid diffusion MRI technique at 7 T.

Diffusion MRI is a useful imaging technique with many clinical applications. Many diffusion MRI studies have utilized echo-planar imaging (EPI) acquisition techniques. In this study, we have developed a rapid diffusion-prepared fast imaging with steady-state free precession MRI acquisition for a preclinical 7T scanner providing diffusion-weighted images in less than 500 ms and diffusion tensor ...

High-resolution diffusion-weighted MR imaging of the human lumbosacral plexus and its branches based on a steady-state free precession imaging technique at 3T.

3D diffusion-weighted steady-state free precession imaging (3D DW-SSFP) with isotropic resolution was performed to delineate structures of the human lumbosacral plexus (LSP). 3D DW-SSFP clearly revealed detailed anatomy of the LSP and its branches. Our data suggest that the sequence based on 3D DW-SSFP can be used for high-resolution MR imaging of the peripheral nervous system.
